After September, we won't raise another batch again until May of 2011. These birds are absolutely delicious - no store-bought bird can compare!
We raise these birds from baby chicks. After 2 weeks in a brooder, they are moved onto grass. We house them in a portable pen which we move onto fresh grass each morning. Broilers receive freshly ground feed complete with an organic vitamin/mineral mix. By about 8 weeks, the birds are ready to be dressed. Most of our broilers dress out at around 4 pounds.
The remaining balance is calculated and due upon receipt. Remaining balance is determined using weight(pounds) X $3.25/lb - minus deposit.
