Pasture-Raised Chicken
2011 Broiler Chickens SOLD OUT. We may 'retire' some of our older laying hens and offer 'stewing hens' in the winter. We will send out stewing hens notices via our facebook page and to the T&C email list. If you're not on the T&C email list and wish to be - just email us and let us know.
We raise our broiler chickens from baby chicks. After 2 weeks in a brooder, they are moved onto grass. We house them in a portable shelter which we rotate across fresh grass. Broilers receive freshly ground feed complete with a vitamin/mineral mix. By about 8 weeks, the birds are ready to be dressed. Most of our broilers dress out at around 4 to 4 1/2 pounds and they are amazingly delicious!!!
