Pasture-Raised Turkey - Deposit
We will raise these pastured turkeys in the same way that we raise our chickens. They will start out as chicks in a protected brooder. Then, when the young turkeys have grown their feathers they will be moved to our portable pens on the pasture. There they will be free to forage for grass and bugs and will be moved onto fresh grass daily.
We are offering 2 different breeds of Turkey. Broad Breasted White turkeys will offer you lots of delicious white meat and a mild flavor. Whites are $4/pound. Broad Breasted Bronze turkeys are closer relatives to wild turkeys which means that will offer a slightly deeper flavor. Because the Bronze turkeys grow more slowly, we have to charge a little more for them. Bronze Turkeys are $4.99 per pound. Your $10 deposit will be deducted from your total amount due which is calculated when you receive your bird(s). We are shooting for 15-20 pound turkeys but weights may vary. Please let us know your weight preference and we will do all that we can to oblige. Please include information about what approximate size turkey(s) you would like in the "Special Instructions" field when you check out - or simply send us an email stating your preference in size.
